Modify Declaration

The present article administers the protocol governing the amendment of permitted fields in a previously submitted declaration. Amendment is procedurally admissible only through the authenticated Applicant Portal and is conditional upon the prevailing adjudicative status of the submission.

Ref: GB-ETA-MOD-19-2026
[Conditional Admissibility]
Modification is restricted to non-substantive fields and is admissible only where the submission has not yet been the subject of conclusive adjudication by the competent authority. Substantive particulars (passport number, nationality, surname, given name(s), and date of birth) cannot be amended; in such instance, withdrawal of the submission and recommencement of the declaration instrument is required.

Permitted Fields

The following fields constitute the exhaustive enumeration of particulars that may be the subject of amendment subsequent to submission:

  • Address of intended lodging within the territory of the United Kingdom.
  • Anticipated date of embarkation.
  • Telecommunication number.
  • Electronic correspondence address (subject to re-validation by token).
  • Stated purpose of entry (only where consistent with original eligibility designation).

Restricted Fields

The following particulars constitute substantive elements of the declaration and are not amenable to post-submission amendment. Discrepancy in respect of these particulars shall require withdrawal of the submission and recommencement of the declaration instrument:

Substantive Field Required Conduct
Travel Document Number Withdrawal and resubmission required.
Country of Citizenship Withdrawal and resubmission required.
Surname / Given Name(s) Withdrawal and resubmission required.
Date of Birth Withdrawal and resubmission required.
Sex Designation Withdrawal and resubmission required.

Procedural Sequence

  1. The Declarant accesses the Applicant Portal by means of authenticated credentials.
  2. The relevant declaration is selected from the disposition register.
  3. The amendment instrument is rendered, populated solely with permitted fields.
  4. The amended particulars are transcribed and integrity-validated by the portal.
  5. The amendment is electronically transmitted to the competent authority for adjudication.
  6. The Declarant receives confirmation via the designated correspondence address.
Notice · Adjudicative Latency
The transmission of an amendment instrument may extend the adjudication interval, irrespective of the protocol initially elected. The Declarant is to validate compliance prior to the anticipated date of embarkation.

Administrative Levy upon Amendment

The amendment of permitted fields shall not, in the ordinary course, give rise to the imposition of a supplementary administrative levy. Where, however, the amendment necessitates re-adjudication or referral to ancillary authorities, a supplementary levy may be discharged in accordance with the Fee Structure.
